Banana Bang

Basically, before (before humans), there were the peoples of food (fruits, vegetables, etc.), with the dominant people being the fruits. One day, members of the fruit people (the tomato and the cucumber) joined the vegetable people because they felt misunderstood by the fruits. However, over time, 🍅 and 🥒 realized that the vegetables were plotting to exterminate all foods to become the dominant (and only) people. So, 🍅 and 🥒 returned to the fruits and explained to the leader of their people (the apple) what was being plotted. Immediately, 🍎 ordered an attack on the vegetables.

The game will be a 2D sidescrolling platformer where you play as these foods (with the leader being the banana), each having a different design and unique abilities. You will navigate through 12 different levels, with each level having 2 stages. At the end of every second stage, you will fight a boss and rescue a food from another group. Each level will also feature a hidden food that you must free. There will be a co-op mode where you can play with up to 4 players, and almost every combination will create a different mech (for example, mozzarella, bread, and tomato create pizza). If you rescue all hidden foods by the end of the game, you unlock a secret boss.

The levels will be filled with obstacles, enemies and challenges. The game mechanics will allow each character to be hit 3 times. If a character is hit 3 times, they die and you switch to another character. If you lose all your characters, you start the level over, but there are checkpoints at the halfway point of each level. You can also switch characters during the game.
